Water Beetle Spring '17

I am guessing this is a Cybister ellipticus from what I can gather from http://www.kellymillerlab.com/pdf/76_Cybister.pdf

Found at work in Elk Mound, WI USA on April 2nd, 2017 just after our spring rains started and temperatures turned to average around 50 degrees fahrenheit during the day.

There is a creek nearby it was probably trying to get to. I was clearing these drainage ways when I noticed it and started filming.
