I am so proud to be able to say that I participated in an event that allowed us to promote true peace and solidarity without hate and to respond to people denouncing protesters because of violence and disruption.
I am proud to be able to respond with, "Look at this! Look at us! It can and has been done in a civil and responsible manner! You cannot say ALL of us are violent! We can have a voice as responsible and respectful members of the community!"
It was so heartening hearing the cheers and support from people who saw us march by in the neighborhoods and downtown!
We showed action.
We showed control.
We showed SOLIDARITY!
