Along the Forest Floor
Along the forest floor can be found a wondrous place,
Where plants and soil entwine in life, where insects and crawlers pace.
At ground level you can see a world so rich and vibrant,
Of give and take, survive or perish, yet not a single tyrant.
The reds and greens, whites and yellows, oh hues of every shade,
The dazzling diversity of the forest, certainly not man-made.
If you should happen upon a quiet wood, I’m sure you will adore,
The miniature landscape spread below you, along the forest floor…
