Along the Forest Floor

Along the forest floor can be found a wondrous place,

Where plants and soil entwine in life, where insects and crawlers pace.

At ground level you can see a world so rich and vibrant,

Of give and take, survive or perish, yet not a single tyrant.

The reds and greens, whites and yellows, oh hues of every shade,

The dazzling diversity of the forest, certainly not man-made.

If you should happen upon a quiet wood, I’m sure you will adore,

The miniature landscape spread below you, along the forest floor…
